Merry meet and mossy greets!

I finally feel like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and things are smoothing out around here. There’s a flow happening that is now working with the current rather than against it. It’s exciting to see and feel puzzle pieces come together that I’ve put off for YEARS.

The past two months, I’ve been working diligently on improving the quality of my pieces and while that has been happening, I’ve noticed my skills quickly strengthening. I made a tough decision this week following the improved growth, and have decided to trash about half the artisanal collection. The chosen removed pieces will be revisited, and are currently stashed away as a future endeavor. I love the ideas behind them, but the execution isn’t there yet… and when I look at them… it doesn’t really vibe “Cottagecore”.

The current three pieces, “Apothecary”, “Foraged”, and “Interconnected” are undergoing a design update this week. “Foraged” is my passion piece, and is the one that started this all. I take a lot of pride in the detail work of “Apothecary”, as there are many smaller components than any other piece. Lastly, “Interconnected” is the one that made me REALLY work to figure out very simple details, but once I did… the whole piece POPPED.

I’m not particularly thrilled with myself with the feeling of having to start ALL OVER, but realistically… I have 6 pieces currently being worked on and I came up with two new smaller collections this week! Those are coming soon, so stay tuned!
